INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Police arrested an Indianapolis man after they say he beat his girlfriend and stabbed two other men with a barbecue fork when they tried to intervene.
Police said 22-year-old Phillip B. Bibbs went to his girlfriend's home early Thursday and was beating her as she lay on a bed next to their infant daughter when two neighbors heard the noise and tried to stop him.
Police said Bibbs then got a barbecue fork that he used to stab one of the men in the face and the other man in the side. Both men were taken to a hospital and their conditions weren't immediately available.
Bibbs is being held in Marion County Jail on Thursday on preliminary charges of battery, residential entry and criminal mischief.
