LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WISH) - Police say a Logansport man has admitted setting a fire that damaged a vacant warehouse on Thanksgiving Day.
Earl Westley Harding, 52, faced a preliminary charge of arson. Investigators brought him in for questioning after a video showed him in the area shortly before the fire started, 24-Hour News 8 news partner the Pharos-Tribune reports . He then confessed to setting the fire and said he "wasn't in his right mind," Logansport Police Department told the newspaper.
Investigators had not previously determined a cause for the fire, so it was Harding's confession that made it an arson case, the newspaper reports.
