Man faces 16 felonies after police struggle

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) - Sixteen felony charges have been filed against a man police say injured two Monroe County sheriff’s deputies and one Bloomington Police officer .
Cody Waldrip made a court appearance on Thursday, where his bond was set at $250,000.
He was charged with:
- Attempted murder, Class A felony
- Aggravated battery, Class B felony
- Escape, Class B felony
- Two counts of criminal confinement, Class B felony
- Two counts of disarming a law enforcement officer, Class C felony
- Three counts of intimidation, Class D felony
- Six counts of resisting law enforcement, Class D felony
Waldrip’s charges stem from an incident on Jan. 17 . A deputy was serving a protective order and said Waldrip refused to comply and beat the deputy. When backup arrived, police said Waldrip fled. After officers could up with him, a struggled ensued.
