Man found guilty for fatal bar shooting

RICHMOND, Ind. (AP) - Jurors have convicted a man of fatally shooting another man after a fight in an eastern Indiana bar.

The Wayne County jury found Kenneth Frye of Richmond guilty of felony murder on Thursday for the November 2011 shooting death of 33-year-old Percy Campbell from an argument over money that Campbell owed Frye.

The Palladium-Item reports that Frye's defense attorney asked jurors to convict him of the lesser charge of reckless homicide because of disagreements among witnesses over what happened at the Alley Kat in downtown Richmond.

Wayne County Prosecutor Mike Shipman argued that Frye didn't walk away and shot Campbell because he was angry.

Frye faces a sentence of 45 years to 65 years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 18.
