Man found shot and killed inside car

INDIANAPOLIS, IND.(WISH) - A 22 year old man was found shot and killed Wednesday evening on the city's east side.
Officers were called to the 5400 block of E. 17 th Street just after 6pm on a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived they discovered, a man sitting in the passengers side of a car, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man died at the scene.
Investigators believe that the shooting may have happened at a nearby apartment complex where officers may have located a crime scene.
The victim has been identified, but his name is being withheld to allow notification of his next-of-kin.
Investigators have are currently speaking with the driver to obtain a statement of facts at police headquarters.
