INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A man who shot and killed his wife while two of her children sat in the same car will spend decades in prison.
Miles Toran was sentenced on Wednesday to 65 years in prison.
On Jan. 8, a jury convicted Toran on a charge of murder and a charge of attempted murder for trying to kill her brother. His attorney filed a motion for a mistrial, but it was denied.
Toran shot his wife Sharon in April 2012 after the two had arranged to meet up to exchange their children. Sharon’s brother was also shot in the incident, but the children weren’t injured.
