FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - A Fort Wayne man has pleaded guilty to four counts of attempted murder for firing gunshots at an ambulance and another vehicle.

The Journal Gazette reports 24-year-old Traneilous Jackson entered the plea Monday in Allen Superior Court.

Jackson allegedly shot at a moving ambulance and a car following it Sept. 9. The ambulance was heading to a hospital carrying a man who had been stabbed at a nightclub. The man's family was in the car. Sixteen to 20 shots struck each vehicle.

Jackson was riding in a car whose driver told police Jackson wanted to shoot up the ambulance and trailing car in revenge for the stabbing of his brother.

Under a plea agreement, prosecutors are recommending a sentence of 60 years. The deal needs a judge's approval.
