Man pleads guilty in child molest case

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - A man pleaded guilty to child molesting Thursday in a case in which his son turned him in after finding video of him having sex with a little girl.
Garrett Cornell was arrested in Hamilton County in March on eight felony charges. Thursday he pleaded guilty to one count each of child molesting, a Class A felony, and child exploitation, a Class C felony. It was part of a plea agreement.
Cornell’s son said he found video of his dad having sex with a 9-year-old girl.
“What he did isn’t right,” the then-seventh grader told 24-Hour News 8.
Cornell faces sentencing in late October.
