INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police investigated Monday after a man said he was assaulted as a result of Facebook comments.

An officer was called to Forrest Ridge Apartments Monday afternoon, according to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department report.

The man who called police said there had been an ongoing argument on Facebook, including posts by his sister saying his children aren’t his. The man said the incident occurred while at his ex-girlfriend’s house the previous morning. He said he and his ex-girlfriend were arguing about this when she struck him in the face, resulting in a cut on his nose, according to the report.

According to the report, the ex-girlfriend then threatened to get some of her friends and family together to beat him and his sister up. As the man was walking home, he said he was jumped by them and they beat him with a gun.

The man showed the officer scars on his chest which he said came from his ex-girlfriend repeatedly scratching and hitting him.

Officers made no arrests in the case.
