ANDERSON, Ind. (The Herald Bulletin) - Police in Anderson are looking for a masked man who robbed an Americana Bank with a handgun Wednesday morning.
Anderson police say the masked man approached a teller’s station and passed over a note demanding money. He did not use a weapon, but police say it was clear he was armed, 24-Hour News 8’s new partner The Herald Bulletin reports.
The driver fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police stopped a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s car on Interstate 69. That person was questioned and cleared.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
