INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis mother was arrested after her infant son died Thursday afternoon.
Officers with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department went to a home in the 1200 block of Earhart Street when a 3-month-old boy was reportedly not breathing.
The baby was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police arrested the boy’s mother, 29-year-old Bambi Glazebrook, on preliminary charges of murder and neglect resulting in death. No details were available on how the boy died.
A woman identifying herself as Glazebrook's cousin said the mother of five did not take care of her son. She adds that she even called Child Protective Services on the 29-year-old several times.
Then came Halloween night when the 3-month-old's body was described as just skin and bones.
"His cheeks were sunk in and he looked deformed," said Martha Robertson. "He looked like if you touched him he was going to break."
When family members tried to intervene they say Glazebrook rebuked their offers.
"She told me not to but in her life. She completely ignored me," said Robertson.
Glazebrook is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 13.
