SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a northern Indiana woman faces two felony counts of neglect of a dependent in the deaths of her two young sons she found locked inside a car trunk last summer.
Jacqueline Wilk of New Carlisle surrendered at the St. Joseph County Jail in South Bend on Friday and posted bond. She was 23 at the time of the deaths last June.
A forensic pathologist says heat caused organs to shut down in half-brothers 4-year-old Dominick Wilk and 2-year-old Isaac Dunner Jr.
St. Joseph County Prosecutor Michael Dvorak says a grand jury indicted Wilk this week.
Wilk does not have a published telephone number and she could not be reached for comment.
New Carlisle is about 15 miles west of South Bend.
