Mom charged with murder in rat poison baby death

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The expecting mother who police said killed her baby after intentionally taking rat poison is facing charges.
Bei Bei Shuai, 34, is facing charges of murder and attempted feticide.
On Jan. 3 , Indianapolis Metropolitan Police were contacted about the infant’s death. Shuai told friends in Anderson she took the rat poison on or around Dec. 23. She gave birth on Dec. 31, and the baby died on Jan. 2.
The coroner ruled the child’s death was caused by the rat poison.
Shuai was being held in jail Tuesday, awaiting a court appearance on Wednesday.
