INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis woman and her former boyfriend have been charged in connection with death of the woman’s baby .
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to a home in the 4800 block of Lakeshore Place on Jan. 18 on a report of a baby who wasn’t breathing. Emergency medical crews arrived and pronounced the baby dead at the scene. The case was turned over to homicide detectives.
The death of Jayden Noel, 1, was classified as a homicide in early February.
Marion County Prosecutor’s office has now formerly charged Chelsea Taylor, 20, the 1-year-old boy’s mother, and Ryan Worline, 29, her former boyfriend, with neglect of a dependent, causing death, IMPD said.
Ryan was arrested at an Indianapolis home Monday, and Taylor was arrested in Shelbyville. Ryan was being held Tuesday evening at the Marion on $50,000 bond. Taylor had already been released on bond. Both are set for an initial court hearing at 9 a.m. Thursday.
