GREENSBURG, Ind. (WISH) - A Greensburg mother facing charges in connection with her 4-year-old son's death has agreed to plead guilty to reduced charges.

Courtney Tressler was arrested in August 2010 after autopsy results showed her son, who died in May 2010, had been starved to death . According to court documents, Peyton Wesley Ettinger weighed 12 pounds when he died.

Tressler faced neglect and reckless homicide charges, but on Tuesday she agreed to plead guilty to a lesser neglect charge, which would carry a lighter sentence.

A judge still has to approve the plea deal at a November hearing.
