INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Metro Police have made a second arrest in a possible case of child abuse in Indianapolis.
24-Hour News 8 reported Saturday morning police had arrested 37-year-old Jason Coffey for beating a seven-month-old boy. Now the baby's mother, Briana White, is also in police custody facing battery and neglect charges.
Police said White's baby had large scabs and blood on his nose. They also found possible burn marks behind his ears and the baby's left leg and right arm were swollen.
The baby was undergoing treatment at Riley Hospital for Children.
Police and Child Protective Services are investigating the case.
