INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A grieving mother is hoping that a man suspected in killing her son will turn himself in to authorities.
Dayna Tucker stood in front of a crowd Tuesday and spoke about her son. 13-year old Jarrell Tucker was shot and killed in the 100 block of North Denny Sunday night. Family members say Jarrell was shot twice, once in the leg and once in the back of the head.
Police believe 56-year old Glenn Beard is the prime suspect in the case and they have been searching for the convicted felon since Monday. Tucker is urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of Beard to come forward.
Interim Police Chief Rick Hite addressed the media at a block party Tuesday and said he believes Beard could possibly be somewhere in Indiana.
While police are searching for Beard, Tucker is trying to raise money to bury her son. Donations can be made at any Key Bank under Jarrell Tucker.
