INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis man has been sentenced to prison for his role in a meth distribution ring with an Indiana motorcycle club.
Gary Baker, 57, was sentenced Friday to 30 years in prison. He was the leader of a methamphetamine trafficking organization operating in Indianapolis that had extensive connections to motorcycle clubs in the state, U.S. Attorney Joseph Hogsett’s office said in a news release. His largest customer was James Taylor, a member of the Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club in Indianapolis, who then distributed the meth to motorcycle club members in Indianapolis and Terre Haute, federal officials said.
Evidence introduced at trial established that Baker two sons, including one who was a minor at the time, in the meth ring.
Baker was ordered to serve five years on probation after his release from prison, and forfeited $60,000 in seized currency and 14 firearms.
Taylor has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of methamphetamine. He has yet to be sentenced.
