One killed, another shot on NW side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - One person was killed another remains in critical condition following a shooting overnight on the city's near northwest side.

IMPD Homicide detectives continue to investigate a shooting just after midnight in the 1100 block of West Congress Avenue.

Officers arriving at the scene found two people shot. Both were transported to the hospital where one person died from his wounds around 4 a.m.

Police say that victim was shot an unknown number of times in the side.

The identity of the victims has not been released. Police are still attempting to notify family members.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this shooting to call them at 327-3475 or Crime Stoppers at 317.262.TIPS (8477).
