EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Police say a parent tackled a teenager after he pulled out what appeared to be a handgun at an Evansville high school.
Police say the 16-year-old's weapon turned out to be a BB gun that looked like handgun. Students at Bosse High School told police the boy waved the weapon during an argument Wednesday evening when he tried to talk with an ex-girlfriend who is part of the school's marching band.
Edward Stocker's daughter is a band member and tells WFIE-TV that he chased down the teen in the school's parking lot. He says people have to take such threats seriously.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports the boy faces several felony charges including intimidation and criminal recklessness.
