INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - One man is dead and another wounded following a shooting at a south side bar late Monday.
Shortly before 11 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the Krazy St. Grille, 404 E. Thompson Road, on a report of multiple shots fired. Another call to 911 reported a fight had occurred in the bar and a person was shot.
Arriving officers found an unresponsive male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by medics, the victim died at the scene.
A second victim, Brandon Hicks, 24, Indianapolis, was suffering from a single gunshot wound and was being detained by bar employees when police arrived. He was taken Wishard Memorial Hospital in fair condition and is expected to recover. He was being held there on a preliminary charge of murder, according to police reports.
Several witnesses were transported to IMPD Headquarters for questioning.
The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of family.
