Man dies after overnight shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting after a person was taken to the hospital and died of a gunshot wound.
The victim of that shooting has been identified as 29-year-old Hoang Bui of Avon.
Officers were notified just before 12:30 a.m. that a black male had been taken to the emergency room at IU West Hospital in Avon with a gunshot wound and was receiving treatment. Bui died a short time later.
IMPD is now investigating the incident and believes the shooting took place in the 900 block of North Girls School Road.
