TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WISH) - A western Indiana pharmacist is under arrest after police said he exchanged drugs for sex.
Owners of the JR Pharmacy in Terre Haute tipped off Indiana State Police to possible criminal activity. Police said a two-week investigation revealed John Webb, 68, Bloomfield, who had worked as a pharmacist there for 10 years, had stolen cash and various drugs, then provided some to a female acquaintance in exchange for sexual favors; some to family; some to customers; and kept some for his personal use.
Webb was arrested Monday and preliminarily charged with theft and dealing in controlled substances. He is set for an initial court appearance on Wednesday. He was being held Tuesday in Vigo County Jail without bond.
The investigation is ongoing, ISP said.
