Police arrest armed robber

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) - Lafayette Police arrested a Lafayette man that robbed Tower Liquor Store Thursday evening.
The robbery occurred around 10 p.m. The clerk told officers that the suspect came into the store and demanded money. The man hit the clerk with a weapon he was holding. He took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot, a release said.
Officers tracked the suspect to a home in the 900 block of Julia Lane. The police department’s SWAT team gained entry to the residence and arrested the suspect, Emmanuel Winters, 23. He was taken to the Tippecanoe County Jail.
