LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A man is behind bars after police said he robbed a gas station Sunday afternoon.

The Lafayette Police Department received a call around 4:30 Sunday afternoon of a robbery that occurred at the Marathon Gas Station on Teal Road in Lafayette.

The suspect was described as a white male, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black coat and jeans. Witnesses told police they saw the suspect running north from the gas station.
