BROWNSBURG, Ind. (WISH) - A two-county police chase Wednesday morning ended in a four-vehicle crash in Hendricks County and two people in handcuffs.
The chase began in Marion County around 11:15 and ended about 30 minutes later at Northfield Drive and 56th Street in Brownsburg. A blue Ford was involved in the chase and police say the vehicle was reported stolen from the southeast side.
There were reports of injuries, but details were unclear.
Witnesses say the SUV at times was traveling at nearly 100 miles per hour.
Indianapolis Metropolitan police say the vehicle matches the description of a vehicle wanted in an earlier shooting. Police say a man was shot on Dandy Trail Road while walking his dog. He was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee was in Brownsburg when the chase came his way. He live-tweeted what he saw.
The crash location reopened to traffic shortly before 5 p.m.
