INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrested an Indianapolis man Monday after discovering a large marijuana growing operation in a home close to the Indiana School for the Deaf.
Johnathon D. Averitte, 22, was arrested for dealing and possession of marijuana.
Deputies went to the 4300 block of North Ralston Avenue after someone reported a fugitive living at a residence in the area. When deputies arrived to the residence, they smelled a strong marijuana odor and found 14 marijuana plants growing inside.
Averitte may face charges due to the operation being within a close proximity to the school.
The investigation is on going.
