LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WISH) - Three people were arrested when an Indiana State Police trooper pulled a vehicle over for an expired license plate and discovered a meth lab inside.
A trooper pulled over the 1999 Red Kia near Ind. 26 and Shenandoah Drive Monday and noticed a strong chemical odor from inside the vehicle.
The driver, Valorie L. Smith, 38, and her passengers Casey M. Lee, 35, and Heather N. Wales, 33, all from Lafayette, were arrested for manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine. Wales and Smith were additionally charged with maintaining a common nuisance.
