GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) - Greenwood officers have arrested three young men they say were involved in a drive-by shooting Thursday night.
Officers were called to 153 Winterwood Drive just before 7 p.m.
Police say a group of several young men were arguing on Winterwood Drive when one of them pulled out a revolver and opened fire. One bullet grazed a young man. A source at the scene says he is a teenager.
The teen was treated by medics, police say.
Police have arrested 22-year-old Kyle Gillespie, Christian Marsh and a 17-year-old.
Officers caught up with Gillespie and the 17-year-old at a Phillips 66 gas station at Stop 11 and Madison.
Police were tipped off that the driver of a getaway Jeep used in the shooting was living at the Greenwood Estates Trailer Park at U.S. 31 and Stop 18. So they went to the park and caught up with Christian Marsh and took him into custody.
Greenwood Police say the shooting was not random.
“They knew each other. So this squabble turned into a shooting it sounds like. It’s always senseless. I mean, obviously, sounds like young individuals with a gun and a bad temper, little self control. Tends to lead to bad things,” said Greenwood SWAT Commander Matthew Fillenwarth.
