INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis Metropolitan Police investigators are looking into a possible gang shooting after one man was shot last Thursday.

According to an IMPD report, at about 9:12 p.m., officers responded to 31st and Ruckle streets on a call about a person shot.

They found a man who had gunshot wounds to the upper leg and buttocks. The man told police he was shot near 32nd Street and North Park Avenue. He was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

Police went to the intersection and noticed multiple shell casings that were fired into a house in the 3100 block of North Park Avenue.

In the report, police spoke to a woman in the home that said she didn’t see who shot the home. She said children were in the home at the time of the shooting.

Officers were also told that the residents of the home did not want to join the Bad Side Gang and ever since then, there had been unreported shootings to the home.

During police investigation, bloody clothing and a bloody gun were found in a nearby alley.

The investigation is on-going.
