INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A death investigation is under way after police found two people dead on the city's east side Wednesday night.
Just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, IMPD officers were called to a home on Priscilla Avenue to the report of a deceased individual. Once inside the home, investigators found two people dead.
Police said Wednesday that it is too early to say what happened, but they are considering the incident to possibly be a murder-suicide.
Police say no one else was inside the home. They also said there's no reason to believe anyone else is involved.
Most of the evening detectives have been talking to family members who have come to the scene.
"I think it's important to note to our viewers that again ours investigators don't believe that there's anything suspicious about this particular unfortunate incident," said IMPD Officer Kendale Adams.
Victims assistance was called to the scene to help with small children who will be affected by the incident.
