KOKOMO, Ind. (WISH) - Officers with the Kokomo Police Department are investigating an armed robbery that took place Saturday just before 10:30 p.m.

Police responded to Foster Park on the 400 block of West Superior to the report of an armed robbery.

A 19-year-old woman and a 17-year-old man told officers a black male approached their car with a semi-automatic handgun. The man motioned for the man to roll down the window.

The 17-year-old complied, rolling down the window.

The suspect robbed the victims of personal property and money, police say.

The suspect is described as wearing a black Carhartt jacket with the hood pulled up, and a blue bandana partially covering his face.

Police say a second male suspect was described as wearing similar clothing. He was standing at the rear of the victims’ car.

The two suspects were last running northbound from the park.

There were no victim injuries reported.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Wines at 765-456-7342, the Kokomo Police Department Hotline at 765-456-7017, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
