INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s Robbery Unit say they have arrested a suspect they believe to be responsible for a violent robbery.
Police responded to a Shell Gas Station located at 2434 North Keystone Avenue on Nov. 21 to the report of a robbery.
When officers arrived they learned a male suspect came from behind the counter, pointed a handgun at a store employee’s head, and demanded money.
The employee attempted to disarm the suspect, and a violent struggle began. After fighting for several minutes, the suspect escaped.
Detectives identified the suspect as a frequent customer. He was arrested on an unrelated incident and was being held at the Marion County Jail when detectives identified him.
After an interview, the suspect admitted to the crime.
Kevin Wilson, 42, was arrested and is being held at the Marion County Jail on a preliminary charge of robbery.
