Police: Man caught stealing microwave from neighbor

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An Indianapolis man was arrested after police say he stole a microwave from his neighbor.
Saturday, police were sent to the 2900 block of N. Gladstone in reference to a burglary. The victim told police he came home to find his neighbor fleeing from his home. The victim later discovered that his microwave had been taken and a door had been kicked-in.
He immediately recognized the suspect as his neighbor, 26-year-old John Dant.
Officers went next door and found the microwave in plain sight. Dant was later arrested at his home and charged with burglary, theft, and resisting law enforcement.
The microwave was later returned to the rightful owner.
