THORNTOWN, Ind. (WISH) - A Boone County man was arrested after police say he attacked his son with a hatchet Friday night, 24-Hour News 8 news partner the Lebanon Reporter reports.

Officers found what they think is a fully automatic AR-15, or similar type of rifle in the man’s Thorntown home.

Police officials said 54-year-old Michael L. Wilson struck his adult son with a 20-inch hatchet during a fight. Wilson was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery with a deadly weapon, a Class C felony.
