Police: Man made meth with kids nearby

BLOOMFIELD, Ind. (WISH) - Six children were turned over to Child Protective Services Thursday after troopers with the Indiana State Police Methamphetamine Task Force dismantled a working meth lab in Bloomfield.

Troopers responded to the 8600 block of East State Road 54 shortly before 8 p.m. following an investigation to locate mixed chemicals, camp fuel, starting fluid, and other equipment to manufacture methamphetamine.

When troopers arrived to the residence they witnessed Justin Anthony making meth. Troopers located six children in the home ranging in ages from 2 – 14 years old.

They were turned over to Child Protective Services.

Anthony was taken to the Greene County Jail and preliminarily charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, a Class B felony, possession of precursors with intent to manufacture, a Class D felony, and taking a child or endangered adult to a nuisance, a Class D felony.

Troopers say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
