JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) — A southern Indiana man faces multiple drug charges alleging that he bought prescription drugs from overseas sellers and resold them in the U.S. through the mail.

Twenty-year-old Christopher Collard of Jeffersonville was arrested Monday on drug possession and dealing charges. Authorities say Collard bought Xanax and other narcotics from a source overseas and had them shipped to his home. He then allegedly resold the drugs and shipped them out to various locations in the U.S.

Police are still investigating who Collard was allegedly selling the drugs to.

Clarksville Police Chief Mark Palmer tells the News and Tribune police and Postal Service inspectors began investigating after a package allegedly containing the prescription drugs was found after it was sent back to a post office for having the wrong address.
