MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) - A Muncie woman was arrested Monday afternoon for driving drunk with two small children in the vehicle.
According to an Indiana State Police release, Melissa Lyght, 29, was pulled over on Ind. 67 initially for driving 90 MPH in a 55 mph zone.
The release said the officer noticed Lyght was intoxicated and tested more than twice the legal limit. Lyght was also driving with her 3-year-old son and 6-month-old daughter.
Lyght was charged with operating while intoxicated with a passenger younger than 18 years of age, a Class D felony, and two counts of neglect of a dependant, a Class D felony. Lyght was taken to the Delaware County Jail. The children were released to a relative.
