Police name suspect in murder case

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A suspect has been named in the murder case of a man found dead in a home after a fire.

Homicide detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department released flyers depicting 24-year-old Rodney Lovett, who police currently seek as a person of interest in the murder of Bryant Steele.

Bryant Steele was found dead in a home on the 3900 block of Chateau Drive on Sept. 30. 

After investigating, police ruled Steele was the victim of a homicide.

Police are urging anyone with information on Lovett’s whereabouts to call IMPD Homicide at 317-327-3475 or Sergeant Mark Prater at 317-327-3481.
