INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are not sure of a motive in Wednesday night’s murder-suicide on the city’s east side.

A release said detectives say Cory Gaines, 31, killed his wife, Brandy Payne, 27, and then killed himself in the couple’s home in the 1800 block of North Priscella Avenue.

There had been no prior domestic police runs to the residence, the release said.

According to family, the couple has been married for 6 years.
