LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) - Lawrence Police Department is searching for a man wanted in a fatal shooting over the weekend.

Dustin Perkins, also known as Marquis or Jerome, is a 23-year-old black male, 5-foot-8, 180 pounds, with receding hair and slight facial hair growth. He is known to frequent the 1000 block of Edgemont, the area of 21st and German Church and 21st and Mitthoeffer, Lawrence Police said, and should be considered armed and dangerous.

He is wanted in connection with the shooting of Frederick Vaulx, who was found shot in the Lawrence Glen Apartments in the 8600 block of East 46th Street on Saturday. Vaulx was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital, where he died Sunday.

Lawrence police located a second suspect, Jerry East, on Tuesday. He faces a preliminary charge of murder.

Anyone with information regarding Perkins should call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous, and information that leads to felony arrest may be eligible for cash reward.
