INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is seeking a person they believe is responsible for the murder of a 16-year-old boy.
Daesean Shanklin was shot and killed in the 2900 block of Dr. Andrew J. Brown Ave. on June 25, 2012. Police believe 33-year-old Courtney Smith killed the teen during a disturbance .
Smith is described as a black man about 6'1 or 6'2 and weighing 220 to 250 pounds. Investigators believe the suspect may be hiding on the city’s Westside possibly in the Haughville area.
Anyone with information on Smith's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-tips.
