CHESTERFIELD, Ind. (WISH) - Police are searching for someone who stole a semi-trailer filled with $1.7 million worth of BlackBerry PlayBooks.

Chesterfield Police Department officials say someone stole the truck from a Travel Center located just off of Interstate 69 in Madison County. It’s near the 34-mile marker, which is the exit for Chesterfield and Dalevile.

Police say the driver went into the center, came out and his truck was gone. It happened between 3:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Thursday. The truck has 22 skids of the tablets.

The truck was loaded in Plainfield and was headed toward Waterloo, Ontario in Canada.

Chesterfield Police Department has contacted the FBI for assistance.

Anyone with information about the case should contact police.
