LEBANON, Ind. (WISH) - A Lebanon man who police had been tracking for weeks was captured Sunday night. Joshua L. Bishop, 32, was arrested Sunday around 9:30 pm after a vehicle pursuit ended in a crash, according to a Lebanon Police Department news release.
Police say Bishop failed to stop at the intersection of Indianapolis Avenue and Hendricks Drive. He was stopped by an officer before fleeing the scene. Approximately one-quarter mile later, Bishop lost control of the vehicle. His truck and trailer flipped, trapping him inside. He was taken to Witham Hospital and then released to Boone County Jail. He was initially wanted on Boone County warrants for driving while suspended and dealing in methamphetamine.
Bishop faces the following preliminary charges:
Mark W. Stone, 31, was with Bishop but jumped from the vehicle. He was later found and charged with resisting law enforcement.
