GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) - A Fortville teen is in jail after abducting a pregnant woman, police say.
The Greenfield Police Department responded to a burglary call on September 1. On scene, police found that the woman resident had been forced from her home, beaten, and taken to another location in Fortville, Ind.
At the time of the incident she was 8-months pregnant.
Police say the woman was abducted by her boyfriend, Dallas Helm, 19, who is also the father of their unborn child. Helm kept the woman at his home for about 30 minutes before releasing her. She then went to the Greenfield Police Department and filed a report.
Although the victim's injuries were not life-threatening, Helm's charges will be enhanced because she is pregnant.
