MEROM, Ind. (AP) - Rewards totaling $3,000 are being offered for information leading to an arrest or conviction in the slaying of an 85-year-old retired farmer in rural western Indiana.
Indiana State Police said Monday that Wabash Valley Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for tips leading to an arrest in the slaying of Lowell Badger of rural Merom . The Indiana Farm Bureau is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the slaying.
Police say Badger's son found him shot to death Saturday morning in the man's home about 30 miles south of Terre Haute. Electronics and items were missing from the home.
