JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) - A southern Indiana man faces battery charges after he allegedly assaulted two police officers and a child services worker who was holding his infant.

WLKY-TV reports that 38-year-old Jeremy Thompson of Jeffersonville was arrested Feb. 8 following the alleged incidents outside his home. He remained jailed Wednesday on a $50,000 bond and faces several charges, including battery, criminal confinement and resisting law enforcement.

Clark County Deputy Prosecutor Linda Lamping says that when an Indiana Department of Child Services worker arrived at Thompson's home he told her and two officers that he would kill everyone if she tried to take his 6-month-old child.

Police said Thompson became physical with the officers and the child services worker when she tried to leave with his child.
