LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) - Lawrence schools have lifted lockdowns and a SWAT situation ended after officers found a house empty.

A 16-year-old girl was shot, prompting the SWAT situation near 59th Street and Twyckenham Drive.

Police entered the home where they thought the shooting suspect was hiding, but found no one there.

The girl who was shot was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital. Her condition wasn't known.

It's unclear what led up to the shooting.
