INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies who were alerted to a stolen car made a warrant arrest Thursday morning.
Deputies who were working security duties at the City-County Building were notified by a citizen that a male subject had possibly stolen a car, according to a release.
The vehicle was located by deputies at the intersection of East and Market streets.
The occupants were detained – one of which, the driver, initially gave deputies a false name.
The driver was arrested. It was later determined that his real name was Damon Swift, 23. He was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failure to comply with probation stemming from an armed robbery and burglary conviction.
Deputies say the name he gave on Wednesday was the name of his accomplice in the armed robbery conviction.
