Teen charged as adult in girl's rape

ANDERSON, Ind. (The Herald Bulletin) - A 17-year-old is being charged as an adult after being charged in the rape of an 11-year-old girl in Anderson, 24-Hour News 8 news partner The Herald Bulletin reports.
Victor M. Perez, a non-citizen from Guatemala, is accused of raping a girl at the home where he was staying in Anderson.
Perez appeared in court Monday with an interpreter. He was charged with rape, criminal deviant conduct and child molestation.
The incident is believed to have happened in September.
